About

Agrarian Artisan is the name I design under.   I design knitting and crochet accessories, and the patterns for these designs are available on Ravelry, Craftsy and Etsy.   Why ‘the accidental designer’?  I didn’t set out to design, it just happened somewhere along the path of enjoying knitting and crocheting – a happy accident!

As well as designing I also do technical editing for other designers and publications (mainly magazines) primarily for crochet, run workshops and teach crochet in the Wilmslow/South Manchester area.

      1. Hi,
I have a question regarding the hearts and kisses baby blanket. I purchased the pattern but I am having a problem with the count since the chart does not cover the whole blanket. Do you have a chart of the whole one? Please let me know if you can help.
        Thank you.

      2. Hi Karen – I do not have a full chart, it would be far too big. I have messaged you on Ravelry, I will do my best to help you but it will be easier if you reply there .

When I click on the link for the flowers, it wants me to create a wordpress account/website, the pattern does not come up. I looked for it at Ravelry under ur designs, unable to find it there either.

Hello, I just purchased your pattern for the Cheshire Bag. I was planning on making some market bags to sell at farmers markets and noticed after I purchased the pattern that it is for personal use only, bummer. I wish I knew that beforehand, would you please give me permission to sell? Of course I would give total credit to you and never give or sell your pattern.

I’m trying to ask a question about the pattern for the March Crochet Scarf I purchased. I don’t know if this is the way to get in touch with you. My question is how to resize in the case of using a slightly heavier yarn than listed (one hook size up). Is there a set of multiples I should start with to make everything work out correctly? Thanks

    1. Hi Dorothy
Thank you for your message. The best place to ask questions is via the website where you purchased the pattern. However, by leaving a comment here I can now email you directly. So keep an eye on your inbox 🙂

Hi, You mentioned that the “Hugs and Kisses “ baby blanket pattern was free on your blog site. I have three Gran babies coming this summer and would love this pattern but can not find your blog for the pattern. Can you help? If it is not available free I will order the pattern but thought I would try you first. Thank you so much. You are a talent designer and I love browsing your site.

    1. Hi Kate
Thank you for your love of my blog 🙂 I have a baby blanket pattern called Hearts and Kisses (on Ravelry here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hearts-and-kisses-blanket ) but this has never been free. I did a search on Ravelry and found one called Hugs and Kisses which is free but not one of my designs (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/hugs-and-kisses-blanket-2) which may be the one you are thinking about. I hope this helps, and congratulations on your 3 expected grand babies! I am sure you will crochet a lot of love into blankets for them!

    1. HI Lindsey
Thank you for your interest. Like many, the physical club was suspended during lockdown and we have not yet found a large enough home to enable new members. So I’m sorry we don’t have any space at present.
