I went on one of my regular walks on Saturday and noticed there was a nip in the air. My hands noticed it most! So I realised it is time to start using my fingerless mitts again. They are always the best for autumn as you can leave your fingers free to use the phone or when shopping.

I have numerous pairs of fingerless mitts and normally I am able to match the colour to what I’m wearing, making them a versatile and useful accessory. I often make a new pair if I can’t find the right match. They are great small projects and quick to make, and for me that means a stash buster!

So in honour of the autumn season and to help you all stash bust a bit, I have decided to make all my fingerless mitts patterns free. Some were already free such as the Simple Handwarmers patterns (1 and 2) and Easy Peasy designed 15 years ago, most are knitted and one is combination knit and crochet (Doubly Delicious).
