What a day!
Thank you to everyone who turned up and helped create the buzz at the very first Cheshire Fibre Festival at Marthall Village Hall. I’m afraid I had no time to take photos but I have some friends who did! Here’s the venue:
We had a fab mix of exhibitors displaying and selling their wares, running workshops and demonstrating their many talents; Yarns from the Plain, Jenny Barnett needlefelting, Eco-Stitch, Crafts from the Dungeon and me!
We were supported by some wonderful volunteers who helped with everything, including ‘the kitchen’ by serving up tea/coffee/cakes with a smile (and supplying cakes), right down to the tidying up at the end of the day.
We had donations of raffle prizes from some lovely supportive yarny organisations – Mollie Makes, LoveKnitting/LoveCrochet, Crochet Now magazine, Stylecraft and exhibitors.
I’m so pleased to say ‘the kitchen’ raised over £177 for Bloodwise! Actually, I’m not surprised because the cakes were amazing 🙂
I think it’s safe to say everyone enjoyed the day. It had a friendly vibe and I saw so many smiles.
So will we do it next year? You’ll have to watch this space 😉
Happy knitting and crocheting xxx
Thank you to Jenny, Vicky and Louise for allowing me to use their photos.
So glad to hear that the day went well. From the photos it looks to have been well worth all the effort.
It is a lovely venue.Spoke to some lovely keen people. Hope you can fit me in next year
